A: Newport Marina is located on the Ohio River just downstream of the West End Bridge, immediately behind 929 Beaver Avenue. The Marina is accessed by travelling down Beaver Avenue, turning right on W. North Avenue, and proceeding about 150 yards. When you reach the end of W. North Ave., wind your way through the two parking lots to your left. The Marina is just beyond the second parking lot. Please note: We are located along the Riverfront Trail, which is heavily trafficked with bicyclists and pedestrians. Exercise extreme caution when approaching in your vehicle.
A: Unfortunately, no. Our Marina has very little turnover from year to year, but a few slips occasionally open up early in the boating season. We do not maintain a waiting list, per se, but you may call the Marina after April 1 to discuss availability. Voicemails should include your name, phone number, and boat length.
A: Yes, for a modest fee (see fee schedule). Please pay before you launch. We work on the honor system; if the Resident Manager is not on site, please drop your payment in the green mailbox. Ask Marina staff about purchasing our Seasonal Launch Pass, which allows for unlimited use of the boat launch throughout the boating season.
A: Yes. There is limited parking in front of the Marina and along the Riverfront Trail. We also have overflow/boat trailer parking in the lot located at the end of West North Avenue. There is another lot in between these two parking areas, which belongs to Lindenmeyr Munroe Paper Company. They allow us to use this lot for parking on Saturdays and Sundays only; if you use this lot Monday thru Friday, you will be towed. If the Resident Manager is available, he will show you where to park your vehicles and/or trailers.
A: Generally, no. However, boat slips occasionally become available late in the season. Call the Marina to discuss availability.
A: Yes. We offer for sale bags of ice, bottles of water, soft drinks and Gatorade during the boating season.
